Maharishi Educational Trust is committed to realizing the vision of our revered Guru, H.H.Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Established in 1994, the Maharishi Group of Institutions, sponsored by the Maharishi Educational Trust, offers education from Pre-KG to Grade XII under the CBSE curriculum. The school currently has a strength of 1,450 students, supported by 120 teaching staff and 35 non-teaching staff members. The institution received CBSE affiliation in the year 2000.
The school is situated on a sprawling, serene, and lush 12-acre campus in Seelapadi, on the outskirts of Dindigul. The open spaces, adorned with shady trees, enhance the aesthetic beauty of the campus and create an environment conducive to academic excellence.
Classrooms are well-equipped with fans, lights, proper ventilation, and internet connectivity. The walls feature informative displays and paintings that reflect moral values. Inspirational portraits of great personalities placed outside each classroom motivate students to follow their ideals. Ergonomically designed furniture further facilitates the overall learning experience.
The effectiveness of primary and secondary education should be measured by the impact it has on higher education, business, industry, government, and society at large. If persistent challenges persist across these domains, the educational system bears significant responsibility. However, we posit that these challenges stem not from what schools teach but from what they omit.
A critical void in education thus far has been the absence of comprehensive consciousness development. An educational system cannot be deemed complete unless it equips teachers to teach and students to learn. Our educational institution endeavours to address this gap by embracing an approach founded on the fundamental principle, “Knowledge is structured in consciousness.”
The primary objective of Maharishi Group of Institutions is to cultivate students with exemplary character, instilling in them lofty ideals of service, sacrifice, and leadership. Through practices such as Transcendental Meditation, Pranayama, Yogasanas, and the TM-Siddhi program, we impart qualitative and value-based education.
